Our cleaners are background-checked, trained, bonded, and insured — but we still recommend every client follow one simple rule: don't leave cash, jewelry, or irreplaceable items out in the open. It protects you, it protects our team, and it removes any chance of an awkward conversation later.

Why we ask, even though we're insured

Insurance covers accidents — a broken lamp, a scratched floor. It's not designed to resolve disputes over something small that may have been misplaced weeks ago. The cleanest situation for everyone is one where valuables were never near the work in the first place. Pros call this 'removing temptation and removing doubt,' and it's standard practice across the industry.

A 60-second pre-clean checklist

• Put cash, gift cards, and checkbooks in a drawer or safe — not on a counter or nightstand.
• Store jewelry, watches, and loose rings in a closed box or zipped pouch.
• Tuck away prescription medication, especially controlled substances.
• Move passports, social security cards, and tax documents out of sight.
• Set aside anything sentimental or fragile you'd rather we don't touch (heirlooms, signed memorabilia, art).
• Leave a note — on the counter or in your booking — for anything you want skipped entirely.

What our team is trained to do

If a cleaner finds visible cash or jewelry, they're trained to leave it exactly where it is, photograph the area, and note it in the visit log. We never move valuables 'to be safe' — that creates more confusion, not less. If something looks unsafe (a wallet on the floor, a ring in a sink), the lead will text you before touching it.

Pets, keys, and access

The same idea applies to access. Crate or gate anxious pets, leave clear entry instructions (lockbox code, doorman, key under a specific mat), and let us know about cameras or alarm systems. We'll arm and disarm on request and always lock up when we leave.
